Dream a Little Dream

Lats night i had a very strange dream. a beautiful fawn was obsessively following me around like a pet. Now, i am a very good dream interpreter. In fact, i used to do this for new age events and shows back in the day. Over the years i have been come to understand my own symbols should they show up in my dreams. Most of them are animals. but i have never dreamt of a deer until now.

Fortunately i was able to easily find an interpretation online. Not all sources are good but i did love this one because it made so much sense.

“A deer symbolizes the awakening of your spiritual desires, but also that you must leave behind your shyness towards others and open your heart. … The deer is, therefore, a strong spiritual symbol. A deer in your dreams means good news and lots of good fortune, especially in your marriage and love life in general.”

She was so pretty i couldn’t help but try to paint her

I have posted a few times about my renewed sense of spirituality this summer, mainly due to my new love interest being so very in tune with his own. It has spilled over onto me and made a huge difference in how i respond to aggravations and anxiety, especially when it comes to repeating old patterns and regurgitating bad emotions, and unfounded suspicions. Even when i do revert to some of them initially, they pass very quickly.

So having this dream and reading the above made me hopeful today. Just thought i’d share.

  1. I used to dream journal and all that when I was younger. Now my step daughter got an interpretation book and it’s really interesting. Last night I had one that felt very ominous and left me anxious and awake in the middle of the night. I was speaking to my Dad (who has been dead for 8 years), sort of calling him out on something he did to be an ass. He looked at me and said “Tomorrow is…. tick tock tick tock tick tock”. The end. I shudder just writing it. If you read my last blog you’ll know the shit situation of the past couple days….

  2. Gorgeous painting and really lovely take on the dream. My dreams have been vivid recently and not very nice. More nightmares than dreams to be honest. Apparently the keto diet can impact on dreams so I’m hoping it’s temporary whilst my body adjusts. In my last one my husband was physically suffocating me, I tried to call for help but couldn’t breathe. It was certainly not one I’d want to paint.

    1. whoa…not a good thing…but yeah, i did Keto once..i seem to recall problems with sleeping but not as much with dreams…could be your internal; feelings about the restrictions of the diet itself..hopefully that will pass!

  3. I love this and the picture is beautiful too. I keep meaning to write down my dreams whilst they’re fresh in my mind. This has inspired me to do that and see where it may lead. Notebook will be placed on nightside table immediately! Big hug to you. x
